Tell 4 or more things you learned about ecosystems during this unit of study.

1.

2.

3.

4.

If you are finished:

1. Read a book about an ecosystem.

2. On your Ecoystems page that you created, post the following information:

  • Name of Ecosystem
  • a brief description of it...include:
    • location
    • temperature
    • landforms
    • producers (plants)
    • consumers (animals)
    • scavengers (animals) that can be found there.

Go to Google Images and find some pictures of your new ecosystem. You will need to first save them to your documents folder. They need to be in .jpg format. Post them to your Wiki page by clicking on File, Upload, then find your H Drive where you saved your photos.

The new ecosystem is under the sea.

1.The location is the sea

2. You know the sea is cold but if you go to the middle it is warm.

3.The landform is rocks,sand,water,coral,and shells.

4.The producers are seedweed

5.The consumers are fish and animals like seals. Some even go on land.

6. Some fishers sell some of their fish to get money.

7.Think of the animals that had to go though the oil. They got sick and might die and they also get sick from the trash that we are putting in their habitat.

Threats to seabirds include being killed for meat, eggs and feathers. Oil spills also threaten them

Penguins are in danger because they have been hunted, their habitats are affected by oil spills which coat their feathers making it difficult to dive. Their food sources also get affected and they find it hard to search for prey.
